Long Live Blackberry

Ok, yesterday i had to give up my Blackberry company phone and go with the Droid Mini.

It's been a hard transistion for me seeing as i have been a loyal BB user since the first one ever came out.  I sold them, i used all sorts of models and i can honestly tell you i'm sad that this company fell so badly.  I'm a power business user and I love to work fast, the Droid is a nice phone and the OS is quick but if you want to work fast on the go the BB is the way to go.

Anyways, i'm probably just venting and i will get used to this new phone but i hope BB somehow does a hail mary and gets back on track.

Love you Bold, Curve and everyother model i used :)

Where is technology going?

I work and am intrenched in techology surrounding business and consumers.  It seems everyone can't live without some form of phone, tablet or computer.  My 11 year old son has his phone attached to his face everytime i see him.  What is the deal here?  I mean when i was growing up there wasn't technology like this so i got outside and played like a normal kid, i communicated like a normal person.  These day's communication is based on social media and the latest gadget you have.  Are we going to far?  I honestly never thought it would get this far this fast.  Years ago i worked in the cell phone business and a customer walked into my store and asked me if we sold the phone with the internet on it.  I looked him as if i saw an alien.....lol  Really?  I guess being nieve is good in a way but after i think back to that day, it's amazing how fast things are moving.  And things could move faster but humans (consumers) can't keep up as fast as technology.  Now i'm reading about 5G and how they are working on this technology that will be available sometime in the near future.  Back in the 90's i was on the treadmill working out and had a newspaper that someone left behind, one of the articles was about 3 and 4G technology.  At the time there was analog flip phones and digital phone technology had just been released.  The artlicle said that it might take a long long time before cell phone providers offer this because of the cost to adopt.  I don't think money has anything to do with it.  If someone has a thought or a dream of something it can happen.  Nanotechnology is just around the corner.  If you thought you have seen things, just wait.  They are working on battery technology that could power a hole city.  Not to long from now we won't have to worry about charging our cell phone.   I can't see that happening but why continue to be so nieve.  You know?

Robots, flying vehicles, unreal what is just around the corner.  Personally, i wished i lived in the 50's where i could get around without someone following me everywhere :)
